How to practise

  1. Sit comfortably with a straight spine and the eyes gently closed.
  2. Take a few slow breaths to settle and become quiet.
  3. Chant the verse slowly: Om Bhur Bhuvah Svah, Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yo Nah Prachodayat.
  4. Keep the tone even and the pace unhurried, honouring each word.
  5. If learning, repeat one line at a time until the rhythm feels familiar.
  6. Let the mind rest gently on the sound rather than its meaning.
  7. After the final round, sit in silence for a few breaths.
